School Psychology

As well as our public courses (see below) we develop and deliver bespoke courses and training for professionals on a range of topics such as Supporting Children & Young People with Attachment Difficulties, Using Solution Focused Methods in the Classroom, Encouraging Communication & Social Skills Development and Understanding & Meeting the Support Needs of Asylum Seekers & Refugees.

We offer workshops and information sessions on key changes to legislation and practice affecting educational organisations, such as the Children & Families Bill and the impact of Educational, Health & Care Plans on ways of working. We relish opportunities to introduce initiatives impacting whole school communities (e.g. Mindfulness); we will plan, implement and evaluate these in partnership with every stakeholder. We are also experienced at meeting the needs of other client groups such as parents / carers and offer tailored workshops and information sessions using practical, friendly and non-threatening approaches.

We are able to carry out a skills audit of your team and consider the results in relation to the requirements of the Local Authority and Ofsted in order to tailor training and support to meet your specific needs. We can also facilitate peer support events and offer supervision and mentoring. We support staff in understanding and coping with stress using a variety of therapeutic approaches delivered through individual or group sessions. Please contact us if you would like us to deliver specific training to your school community.
